Sail away for an afternoon of adventure in one of the Boat Club’s sailboats or explore the shores of our beautiful lake by canoe or kayak!

The Boat Club maintains a fleet of:

  • 7 Optimists
  • 3 Bytes
  • 8 Canoes
  • 5 Kayaks

As a member, you can also keep your boat at the Boat Club throughout the summer and winter months (please see fee list for costs).

Our full-time sailing staff are accredited by the Quebec Sailing Federation and can assist you if you need help to rig a boat or simply need some basic sailing tips. They also offer lessons from beginner to expert levels. And once you complete the course criteria, you will obtain your White Sail level I, II or III certification. The Club also offers a Sailing Camp for kids that want to spend a 100% of their day immersed in sailing activities. Our young sailors can also receive certification (White Sail, Bronze and Silver Levels) upon completion of the specified course criteria.  Finally the Boat Club runs both adult and youth sailing races throughout the season, competes in inter-club races with other clubs in the region (North Hatley Club on Lake Massawippi and The Hermitage Club on Lake Memphremagog), and hosts a number of prestigious invitational regattas each year:

  • Howson Cup (since 1976): Laser class, 16 years and under
  • Fairwinds Cup (since 1970): Laser II class, 18 years and under; plus non-trophy races for Optimist & Byte class
  • Fisher Cup: all ages, mono hull & multi hull classes
  • Haldenby Cup: 16 years and under, Bytes & Lasers
  • Price Cup: 12 years and under, Bytes & Lasers
  • Catchlove-Baillargeon Cup: 10 years and under, Optimists
